There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedBayreuth (13-17) defeated at home higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (20-10) 91-86 on Saturday. Bayreuth made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American guard KeVaughn Allen (188-1995, college: Florida) notched 18 points to lead the effort and Lenny Liedtke (198-2004, agency: LUMANI 10.7) supported him with 19 points. Even 21 points and 4 assists by Canadian point guard Elijah Miller (183-1997, college: UPEI) did not help to save the game for Bremerhaven . American guard Jemarl Baker Jr (195-1998, college: N.Mexico) added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bayreuth and five Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bayreuth moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Nuernberg and Koeln. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven keeps the fourth position with ten games lost.
