Regular Season Round 29: Bamberg - Jena 81-75
Date: April 6, 2026
Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedBamberg (18-10) beat at home 16th ranked Science City Jena (10-17) 81-75 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American point guard Cobe Williams (183-2000, college: Tulsa) who scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Demarcus Demonia (201-1999, college: ETAMU) chipped in 14 points. Demonia is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Lorenz Bank (198-2001) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Joe Wieskamp (198-1999, college: Iowa) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Jena players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bamberg moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Jena keeps the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Bamberg will meet Ulm (#5) on the road in the next round. Jena will play against Hamburg (#12) and hope to secure a win.
