There was a surprise result in Frankfurt where seventeenth rankedMLP Academics Heidelberg (8-21) outleveled higher ranked Skyliners (12-17) 93-73 on Sunday. The game without a history. Heidelberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MLP Academics Heidelberg dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Skyliners ' 26. MLP Academics Heidelberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Skyliners ' players. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Ryan Mikesell (201-1996, college: Dayton, agency: Slash Sports) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Michael Weathers (190-1997, college: SMU) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists during the contest. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Tyger Campbell (180-2000, college: UCLA) with 15 points and 5 assists and point guard Isaiah Swope (178-2003, college: St.Louis) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Heidelberg maintains seventeenth position with 8-21 record.
