There was an upset in Trier where higher rankedGladiators (16-16) were edged by twelfth ranked EWE Baskets (15-17) 98-95 on Saturday. American guard Brian Fobbs (196-1998, college: Towson) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists for the winners and the former international Nicholas Tischler (201-2000) chipped in 21 points. Five EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (196-1995, agency: BIG) with 20 points and 5 assists and American guard Clay Guillozet (193-1997, college: Valdosta St.) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Gladiators' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oldenburg moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Rostock and Chemnitz. Trier lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost.
