Regular Season Round 1: Sopron KC - PVSK Pannon 90-68
Date: October 3, 2015
Sopron KC used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Pecs 90-68 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Sopron KC. PVSK Pannon was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for international guard Andras Rujak (189-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian point guard Hernst Laroche (185-89, college: N.Mexico St., agency: HMS) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. point guard Akos Halasz (183-91, agency: HMS) answered with 19 points and power forward Balint Horti (204-89) added 16 points in the effort for PVSK Pannon. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sopron KC will face Szolnok in Szolnok in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. PVSK Pannon will play at home against Atomeromu and hope to win that game.
