There was no surprise in Kaunas where 9th rankedSaule (1-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Tornado KM (4-1) 95-78 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Tornado KM. Saule managed to win third quarter 25-19 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tornado KM forced 23 Saule turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Center Arminas Vilkas (200-2007) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Neidas Linartas (202-2008) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Gustas Dembinskis (-2007) with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Jonas Soblinskas (182-2007) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Saule players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tornado KM have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with SKM I. Saule lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Perkunas and SKM II.
