There was a surprise result when ninth rankedPalanga (6-2) beat at home 4th placed Vilkaviskis (7-4) 84-74 on Thursday. It was a great shooting night for Palanga especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Center Julius Jucikas (204-1989, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Armandas Bancevicius (203-2006) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Rokas Stankevicius (202-1995, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five Palanga and four Vilkaviskis players scored in double figures. Palanga moved-up to eighth place. Loser Vilkaviskis dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Vytis and Omega-Tauras.
