The most exciting game of round 7 in the U18 League took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th rankedZalgiris (3-3) to leader VKM (6-0) 77-74 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 19-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. VKM forced 25 Zalgiris turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jonas Skramtai (192-2007) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Vytautas Meskela (199-2007) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. VKM's coach Edvinas Justas used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Nedas Orlickas (180-2007) answered with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Titas Padelevicius (197-2007) added 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Zalgiris. VKM have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Zalgiris lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with three games lost.
