The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kaunas:Tornado KM (#3) and Zalgiris (#8). Tornado KM (5-1) smashed visiting Zalgiris (3-4) by 39 points 105-66 . Tornado KM dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Zalgiris ' 38. Tornado KM forced 25 Zalgiris turnovers and outrebounded them 93-79 including 34 on the offensive glass. Tornado KM looked well-organized offensively handing out 51 assists comparing to just 26 passes made by Zalgiris ' players. 31 personal fouls committed by Zalgiris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Arminas Vilkas (200-2007) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Egyptian center Amir Malek (205-2007) who added 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Guard Nedas Orlickas (180-2007) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and forward Mantas Siaulaitis (196-2007) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tornado KM have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Zalgiris lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II.
