Fifteenth-rankedKretinga (5-13) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Omega-Tauras (11-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Kaunas managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79 . However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Kretinga outrebounded Omega-Tauras 47-33 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Omega-Tauras players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Tadas Budrys (205-2002) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Karolis Sapiega (199-1999) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Kretinga's coach Arimantas Mikalocius rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Omega-Tauras moved-up to fourth place. Loser Kretinga keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost.
