Regular Season Round 20: Omega-Tauras - Palanga 92-90

The most exciting game of round 20 in the NKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengersPalanga (12-5) to fourth ranked Omega-Tauras (13-6) 92-90 in the game for the third place. Omega-Tauras forced 20 Palanga turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and the former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) who added 22 points and 7 assists during the contest. Omega-Tauras' coach Giedrius Kurtinaitis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Julius Kazakauskas (196-1990) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Ernestas Bruzas (182-1996) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. Omega-Tauras have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Palanga at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost.
