Regular Season Round 22: Suduva-Mantinga - Palanga 74-78

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Palanga (14-5) won against 7th ranked Suduva-Mantinga (12-10) in Marijampole 78-74 on Saturday. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) notched 27 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and center Julius Jucikas (204-1989, agency: BIG) supported him with 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Even 25 points by guard Domantas Vilys (188-2000) did not help to save the game for Suduva-Mantinga. Point guard Martynas Zigmantavicius (187-1996) added 12 points for lost side. Palanga moved-up to third place. Suduva-Mantinga lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Palanga will meet Kretinga (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Alytus (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
