Bottom-ranked Panevezys (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Siauliai (4-4) 79-67. Siauliai outrebounded Panevezys 40-25 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Filipino guard Malia Bambrick (178-2000, college: LBSU) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Latvian guard Sabine Lipe (175-1999, college: UTEP) supported her with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals by the former international point guard Gabriele Sulske (177-1990) did not help to save the game for Panevezys. The former international guard Kriste Timofejeva (180-1992) added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Siauliai moved-up to third place. Panevezys at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Siauliai will play against Neptunas (#4) in Klaipeda in the next round. Panevezys will play at home against the league's second-placed LCC Klaipeda and hopes to get finally their first victory.
