There was a small surprise in Kaunas where fifth rankedOmega-Tauras (16-10) won against their close opponent Vilkaviskis (17-10) 86-77 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Five Omega-Tauras players scored in double figures. American guard Bryce McBride (188-2000, college: YSU) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Giedrius Stankevicius (207-1996) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Vilkaviskis' coach Sarunas Zablockis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Omega-Tauras went down to sixth position due to points difference. Loser Vilkaviskis dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost.
