No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedZalgiris (6-6) crushed 11th ranked SKM II (2-9) in Vilniaus 88-69 on Tuesday. Zalgiris outrebounded SKM II 53-26 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zalgiris looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Povilas Aleksiunas (194-2007) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and guard Nedas Orlickas (180-2007) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Guard Mykolas Benetis (188-2007) came up with 24 points and guard Nojus Paulauskas (175-2007) added 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for SKM II in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zalgiris maintains sixth place with 6-6 record. SKM II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost.
