Regular Season Round 18: SKM I - Saule 88-81

There was no surprise in Vilniaus where 8th rankedSaule (6-8) was defeated by second ranked SKM I (12-4) 88-81 . The game without a history. SKM I led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for forward Adomas Pocius (195-2007) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Edvinas Slabasevicius (192-2007) contributed with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. SKM I's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Dziugas Masiulis (-2007) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Erik Novikov (-2007) added 17 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Saule. Four Saule players scored in double figures. SKM I have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record having just two point less than leader VKM. Saule at the other side dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost.
