Second Stage Round 3: Omega-Tauras - Jurbarkas 88-79

Very important is a road loss ofJurbarkas (22-11) against Omega-Tauras (18-16) on Thursday night. Visiting Jurbarkas was defeated by Omega-Tauras in a tough game in Kaunas 79-88 . It was a great shooting night for Omega-Tauras especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) accounted for 20 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Omega-Tauras' coach Giedrius Kurtinaitis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Paulius Danisevicius (178-1995, agency: BIG) came up with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-1986) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Jurbarkas in the defeat. Four Jurbarkas players scored in double figures.
