Bottom-rankedDelikatesas managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Thursday night. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Alytus in Joniskis 105-96 . Delikatesas made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Delikatesas outrebounded Alytus 49-25 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Delikatesas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Kenneth Miller (186-1995, college: OVU) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Donnell Cegers (197-1993, college: NMU) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was guard JJ Culver (193-1997, college: Wayland Baptist) who recorded 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Robert Waters-Johnson (185-1993, college: Wayland Baptist) added 16 points and 9 assists respectively. Five Delikatesas and four Alytus players scored in double figures. Alytus' coach Mindaugas Jarusevicius tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Delikatesas maintains sixteenth position with 6-30 record. Alytus lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with 27 games lost. Delikatesas will meet higher ranked Stekas (#9) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Alytus will play against Rytas 2 (#11) and hope to secure a win.
