Second Stage Round 7: Alytus - Rytas 2 72-91

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Alytus (9-28) was crushed at home by eleventh ranked Rytas 2 (17-20) 91-72 on Saturday. Rytas 2 outrebounded Alytus 41-27 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rytas 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Gabrielius Jokubauskas (195-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Nikas Stuknys (199-2005) helped adding 6 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. At the losing side forward Adas Siumbrys (198-1998) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Martynas Pocevicius (192-2000) scored 15 points. Four Alytus players scored in double figures. Rytas 2 maintains eleventh place with 17-20 record. Alytus lost seventeenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 28 games lost.
