Regular Season Round 1: Gargzdu - Siauliai 85-93

An interesting game was played in Gargzdai where Siauliai beat host Gargzdu 93-85 on Sunday evening. Siauliai outrebounded Gargzdu 44-30 including 19 on the offensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Cedric Henderson Jr. (198-2000, college: Arizona) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Jordan Brown (211-1999, college: Memphis) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side guard Jalon Pipkins (193-1998, college: PFW) responded with 23 points and guard Trey Pulliam (190-1998, college: SDSU) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Siauliai will meet Zalgiris in the next round. Gargzdu will play against Rytas in Vilnius and hope to win that game.
