Very important is a road loss of second rankedVilkaviskis (6-2) against seventeenth ranked Palanga (2-7) on Thursday night. Visiting Vilkaviskis was defeated by Palanga in a tough game in Palanga 82-90 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vilkaviskis. Palanga made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 82 Vilkaviskis turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Paulius Danisevicius (178-1995, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 assists. American-Puerto Rican swingman Jordan Glover (198-1996, college: TCNJ) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Glover is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Palanga players scored in double figures. American guard TJ Gadsden (199-2002, college: Hofstra) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Titas Pazarauskas (191-2003) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Vilkaviskis. Vilkaviskis' coach Sarunas Zablockis let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Palanga moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with P.Olimpas. Vilkaviskis at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II and Vytis. Palanga will play against higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (#12) in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vilkaviskis will play on the road against Omega-Tauras (#6) in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
