The game had a very big importance for second-rankedSaule as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Saule smashed 7th ranked VKM-2 in Siauliai 100-77 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of VKM-2. VKM-2 trailed 45-43 at halftime, rallying from a 31-15 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Saule dominated on the defensive end, holding VKM-2 to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 23 VKM-2 turnovers. Saule looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Saule made 8 blocks. 27 personal fouls committed by VKM-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Gabrielius Krivas who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Rinaldas Kairys contributed with 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. Lukas Cijunaitis replied with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Rimvydas Cizas added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for VKM-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saule have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with VKM. VKM-2 at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost.
