No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where second rankedVKM (10-2) smashed bottom-ranked Zalgiris II (1-11) 87-63 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by VKM. Zalgiris II managed to win fourth quarter 19-13 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VKM dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Zalgiris II 's 30. VKM forced 31 Zalgiris II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Gedartas Norkus (-2008) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Azuolas Zibuda (-2008) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Mindaugas Vansevicius (-2008) with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tadas Grazys (178-2008) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. VKM maintains second position with 10-2 record behind leader Saule. Zalgiris II lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost.
