An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kaunas. First rankedZalgiris faced their biggest opponent Neptunas . Host Zalgiris (16-1) defeated guests from Klaipeda (11-6) 87-76 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neptunas. Zalgiris made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Zalgiris had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Ignas Brazdeikis (201-1999, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 assists. International power forward Azuolas Tubelis (211-2002, college: Arizona) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Latvian power forward Karlis Silins (210-1997, college: FAU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-1 record. Neptunas at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost.
