The game had a very big importance for second-rankedSaule as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Saule smashed 3rd ranked Tornado KM in Siauliai 85-63 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tornado KM. The game without a history. Saule led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Tornado KM outrebounded Saule 33-0 including a 11- advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Rinaldas Kairys (-2008) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 assists. Jokubas Kiseliunas (-2008) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Saule players scored in double figures. Forward Tauris Aliukonis (204-2008) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Neidas Linartas (202-2008) added 20 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Tornado KM. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saule (14-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Tornado KM keeps the third place with three games lost.
