Seventeenth-rankedAlytus gave a tough game to Omega-Tauras in Kaunas on Thursday. Omega-Tauras managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80 . However their fans expected much easier game. Omega-Tauras made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Vytautas Sulskis (201-1988, college: YSU, agency: BIG) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Omega-Tauras' coach Giedrius Kurtinaitis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Kristupas Smirnov (194-2006) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Robert Waters-Johnson (185-1994, college: Wayland Baptist) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Alytus players scored in double figures.
