Second Stage Round 3: Stekas - Silute 80-94

The game with biggest result difference took place in Vilnius. Local Stekas (8-26) lost to Silute (15-20) 94-80 on Saturday night. Strangely Stekas outrebounded Silute 48-36 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American Gerrale Gates (198-2000, college: Holy Cross) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Norbertas Giga (208-1995, college: Jax State) helped adding 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward John Egbuta (198, college: IUPUI) with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Dominykas Bucas (203-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stekas' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Silute will meet at home Alytus (#17) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Stekas will play against P.Olimpas in Plunge and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
