There was an upset when higher rankedPalanga (14-23) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked Alytus (7-31) 97-83 on Thursday. Alytus outrebounded Palanga 33-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. Alytus looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Zygimantas Bartasius (208-2004) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Kristupas Smirnov (194-2006) chipped in 20 points during the contest.
