Everything went according to plan when tenth rankedJurbarkas (22-16) defeated 13th ranked Omega-Tauras (15-23) in Kaunas 98-94 on Saturday. Jurbarkas made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-1986) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Karolis Kokoska (196-1992) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Jurbarkas' coach Povilas Valaitis used entire bench in such tough game. The former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) came up with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Vytautas Sulskis (201-1988, college: YSU, agency: BIG) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Omega-Tauras in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Jurbarkas . They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Omega-Tauras keeps the thirteenth position with 23 games lost.
