The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th rankedOmega-Tauras ' (15-24) home loss to twelfth ranked Silute (17-22) 88-92 on Thursday. Silute dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Omega-Tauras ' 48. They outrebounded Omega-Tauras 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Silute looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Gerrale Gates (198-2000, college: Holy Cross) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Devin Hutchinson (196-1996, college: Radford) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Guard Vytautas Sulskis (201-1988, college: YSU, agency: BIG) produced 15 points and 7 assists and the former international point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-1989) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Silute and five Omega-Tauras players scored in double figures. Omega-Tauras' coach Giedrius Kurtinaitis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Silute maintains twelfth position with 17-22 record. Loser Omega-Tauras keeps the thirteenth place with 24 games lost.
