Regular Season Round 22: SKM II - SKM I 48-78

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Vilniaus:SKM I (#4) and SKM II (#8). SKM II was smashed at home by 30 points 48-78 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. SKM I led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held SKM II to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded SKM II 46-31 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vilius Dabuzinskas had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Pijus Daukas chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five SKM I players scored in double figures. At the losing side Artiom Rogalskij responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Kristupas Bauza scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SKM I (13-8) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position. SKM II lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 12 games lost.
