Very expected game whenSanjoanense was smashed by Benfica in Lisbon 99-60 on Sunday. Benfica outrebounded Sanjoanense 39-23 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Benfica looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Sanjoanense 's players. Brazilian center Leticia Soares (188-1997, college: San Diego) notched 17 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and supported her with 14 points and 4 assists. Even 15 points and 7 assists by Estonian swingman Estere Petrus (174-2006) did not help to save the game for Sanjoanense .
