Very expected game when 12th rankedVasco da Gama (3-12) was rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Braga (6-8) 107-66 on Saturday. Braga made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Vasco da Gama only scored twelve points from the stripe. They outrebounded Vasco da Gama 43-28 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Braga looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vasco da Gama 's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Braga made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for Ivorian-American forward Mike Fofana (206-1997, college: HSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!). American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196-1997, college: Lewis) helped adding 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was Turkish-American guard Zavian McLean (193-2001, college: FGCU) with 30 points and 4 steals and American forward Lashon Lindsey (203-1999, college: Slippery Rock) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Braga moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Esgueira. Vasco da Gama lost third consecutive game. Vasco da Gama at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost.
