A very close game took place in Ploiesti betweenGheorgheni and Prahova . Seventh ranked Gheorgheni (2-3) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Prahova (2-4). Gheorgheni managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 20-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Gheorgheni forced 20 Prahova turnovers. The winners were led by guard Matyas Lokody (190-1987) who scored that evening 29 points and 7 rebounds and Raoul Olariu (-1992) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by Vlad Otelea (-2005) did not help to save the game for Prahova . Iulian Gheorghe (-2004) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gheorgheni moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Craiova 2. Prahova lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Targu Mures 2.
