An interesting game was played in Ploiesti where hostPrahova (#8) won against 5th ranked Craiova 2 60-50 on Saturday evening. Craiova 2 was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Prahova dominated on the defensive end, holding Craiova 2 to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 19 Craiova 2 turnovers. It was a great evening for Vlad Otelea (-2005) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Iustin Puiulet (-2004) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Prahova players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Leonardo Mariescu (-2005) with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks and Casian Draghici (-2004) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prahova (3-9) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rm Valcea 2. Craiova 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost.
