We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th rankedCraiova 2 (5-9) lost on the road to sixth ranked Gheorgheni (4-10) 80-71 on Tuesday. Craiova 2 trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 24-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-80 at the end of the game. Gheorgheni forced 23 Craiova 2 turnovers. Slovenian point guard Matevz Magusar (185-1989) notched 18 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Matyas Lokody (190-1987) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by Gabriel Nasta (-2005) did not help to save the game for Craiova 2 . Luca Manda (-2003) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Craiova 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gheorgheni maintains sixth position with 4-10 record, which they share with Prahova. Loser Craiova 2 keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with CSU Galati.
