Very predictable result when eighth rankedCraiova (14-10) beat at home 13th ranked Steaua (8-17) 90-78 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-78. Craiova made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Steaua 's players. American DeVante Brooks (198, college: S.Arkansas, agency: Players Group) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Giordan Watson (177-1985, college: CMU) chipped in 22 points and 10 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Craiova players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Kamau Stokes (183-1995, college: Kansas St.) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and Bulgarian forward Ivan Alipiev (203-1999, college: LMU) scored 15 points. Steaua B.'s coach Pedro Nuno Monteiro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Craiova moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Steaua keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost.
