Very expected game when 14th rankedGalati (4-21) was rolled over at home by second ranked Valcea (20-5) 92-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Valcea. Galati managed to win second period 25-18 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valcea made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Jamaican-Canadian guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American Cornelius Hudson (200-1993, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 16 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Four Valcea players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Lamar Morgan (198-1997, college: Coppin St., agency: Helping Ballers) responded with 18 points and Serbian center Luka Majstorovic (207-1996, college: Embry Riddle) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valcea have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 20-5 record having just two points less than leader Oradea, which they share with Cluj Napoca. Loser Galati keeps the fourteenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Constanta.
