Very important is a home loss of third rankedCluj Napoca (22-6) against ninth ranked Timisoara (14-14) on Friday night. Host Cluj Napoca was defeated by Timisoara in a tough game in Cluj Napoca 70-74 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Cluj Napoca. It looked good early as Cluj Napoca took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Timisoara had a 27-13 second period charge getting the lead and Cluj Napoca was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-74. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Austrian guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-1992) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists. American center Mike Edwards (206-1997, college: Georgia) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Patrick Richard (195-1990, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Zachary Hankins (211-1996, college: Xavier) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Cluj Napoca. Four Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. Timisoara moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Craiova. Defending champion Cluj Napoca dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Valcea.
