Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third rankedPitesti and 5th ranked Voluntari had identical 5-2 record. This time Pitesti used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Voluntari 87-71 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Pitesti. Voluntari managed to win second period 21-18 . American center Solomon Young (203-1998, college: Iowa St.) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (204-1995) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Voluntari in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Pitesti maintains third place with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Cluj Napoca, which they share with Craiova. Loser Voluntari keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Valcea.
