The biggest surprise took place in Ramnicu Valcea where hostRm Valcea 2 (3-5) edged league's leader Targoviste (6-2) 81-80 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Targoviste. Targoviste was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 18-14 charge of Rm Valcea 2, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was center Dragos Constantinescu (201-2007, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds. Raul Hurdubelea chipped in 22 points. Four Rm Valcea 2 players scored in double figures. Rm Valcea 2's coach Octavian Boian used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. produced 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists and Radu Dumitru added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Rm Valcea 2 maintains fourth position with 3-5 record. Targoviste at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Leii who have the same record.
