There was no surprise when bottom-rankedGalati (0-11) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked Timisoara (5-5) 106-84 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Timisoara. Galati managed to win fourth quarter 22-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Timisoara dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Galati 's 34. Timisoara looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Devon Thomas (183-1994, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian-Austrian guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-1992) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. American guard Marcus Randolph (196-2003, college: St.Peter's) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and Serbian point guard Mihailo Jovicic (190-1999, agency: BIG) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Timisoara and four Galati players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Timisoara moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Targu Mures. Loser Galati still closes the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with Targu Jiu.
