There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedTimisoara (5-5) beat at home higher ranked Valcea (5-4) 96-91 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Valcea won third quarter 21-20 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Valcea used huge pressure winning it 23-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 7-12 . Timisoara outrebounded Valcea 43-28 including a 26-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Serbian-Austrian guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-1992) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international center Laszlo Lazar (212-1987, agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Timisoara's coach Dragan Petricevic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Belgian point guard Emmanuel Lecomte (180-1995, college: Baylor, agency: Players Group) responded with 20 points and forward Brandon McKissic (190-1999, college: Florida, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Timisoara moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Targu Mures. Loser Valcea dropped to the eighth position with four games lost.
