There was an upset when higher rankedValcea (5-6) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Sibiu (5-7) 96-85 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sibiu. Valcea managed to win fourth quarter 26-14 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sibiu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Keith Stone (206-1997, college: Miami, FL) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Anthony Smith (203-1997, college: Murray St., agency: Rep 3Sixty) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard John Jenkins (193-1991, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Slash Sports) produced 29 points and forward DeAndre Pinckney (203-2000, college: Southern Miss) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sibiu moved-up to twelfth place. Valcea lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost.
