Important game to mention about took place in Gheorgheni. Third rankedGheorgheni (6-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Craiova CSU (4-13) 64-61 on Sunday evening. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 27-16 Craiova CSU's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 64-61 at the end of the game. Gheorgheni forced 24 Craiova CSU turnovers. Strangely Craiova CSU outrebounded Gheorgheni 52-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Craiova CSU was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Elod Csillag (-2005) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Tamas Laszlo (190-2001) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Bogdan Nasta (-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and Casian Draghici (-2004) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Craiova CSU in the defeat. Craiova CSU's coach Catalin Garleanu tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gheorgheni moved-up to second place. Craiova CSU at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost.
