Rather expected game when 6th ranked Cluj CSU (10-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Targoviste (12-5) 85-79 on Sunday. Targoviste forced 24 Cluj CSU turnovers. Strangely Cluj CSU outrebounded Targoviste 50-32 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Daniel Toma (181-2004) fired 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. Ioan Rizescu (-2007) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Center Mihnea Brie (196-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds and Tudor Zaharie (-2003) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side.
