Not a big story in a game when 5th rankedCluj Napoca 2 (9-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Ploiesti CSM 2 (12-2) 92-78 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Ploiesti CSM 2. Cluj Napoca 2 managed to win third quarter 23-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cluj Napoca 2 48-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. Georgian Mihalache (-2006) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Alexandru Dimov (185-2007) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Thomas Bernat (191-2009) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Tudor-Alexis Petric (193-2007) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ploiesti CSM 2 . They maintain second place with 12-2 record having five points less than leader Rising Stars. Cluj Napoca 2 lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Rm Valcea 2.
