Not a big story in a game when 7th rankedACS Bucuresti (1-15) lost at home to third ranked Ploiesti CSU (6-11) 89-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ploiesti CSU. ACS Bucuresti managed to win second period 20-15 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ploiesti CSU shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. The winners were led by Mihai Stanescu (-2002) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Alexandru Chirila (-2003) supported him with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Ploiesti CSU's coach Ioan Hartman used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 29 points and 5 rebounds by forward Razvan Ancuta (195-2007) did not help to save the game for ACS Bucuresti . Guard Sebastian Ciobu (180-2006) added 20 points, 9 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. Ploiesti CSU maintains third position with 6-11 record having ten points less than leader Rising Stars. ACS Bucuresti lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 15 games lost.
