Rather predictable result when third rankedTargoviste (13-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Targu Mures CSU (7-12) 90-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Targoviste. Targu Mures CSU managed to win second period 17-12 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Targoviste dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Mures CSU 's 34. Targoviste looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Targu Mures CSU 's players. The best player for the winners was Radu Dumitru (193-2004) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. point guard Daniel Toma (181-2004) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Zsolt Szekely (-2008, agency: One Motive Sports) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds and Patrick Ghita (-2007) added 17 points and 4 steals respectively. Four Targu Mures CSU players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Targoviste maintains third place with 13-5 record having four points less than leader Rising Stars which they share with defeated Targu Mures CSU . Targu Mures CSU lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ploiesti CSU.
