An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nizhny Tagil. Leader Neftekhimik T. faced 4th placed Stary Sobol NT. Guests from Tobolsk (4-0) defeated host Stary Sobol NT (2-2) 83-74. Stary Sobol NT was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Mikhail Kautin (214-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Andrey Pavlov (191-86) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Neftekhimik T. players scored in double figures. Power forward Aleksey Vagner (204-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Danil Taupev (193-93) added 16 points in the effort for Stary Sobol NT. Stary Sobol NT's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Neftekhimik T. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-0 record behind leader Kirov. Stary Sobol NT at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Sogdiana-Skif and Rusichi K.. Neftekhimik T. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stary Sobol NT will play on the road against Sogdiana-Skif (#5) in Voronezh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
